ROACH, Missouri- On July 10th, at approximately 4:45 pm, Camden County Communications says they began receiving multiple calls about a bus on its side on State Road AA, Roach, Camden County, leading to Windermere Baptist Conference Center.  It was reported that the bus was occupied by over 30 children and that there were multiple injuries.  The school bus was from Oklahoma, the agency said in a press release. The Highway Patrol says the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and overturned. The driver was a 56 year-old female from Tulsa.

All available CCSO deputies, MSHP, Sunrise Beach PD, two helicopters (Staff and Lifeline), multiple ambulances from Mercy and Lake West, along with Mid County Fire, Osage Beach Fire and Sunrise Beach Fire, were called to the scene.  The helicopters staged at a landing zone established at Mid County Station 3.

The injured children from Broken Arrow Oklahoma were ages 12-14.

A total of 14 children were treated at Lake Regional Hospital for minor injuries.  One child was transported by Lifeline to a Springfield Hospital.  The bus had been occupied by 40 people, 39 of them were children.
