LENEXA, Kansas- Law enforcement officials report a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old died and seven other teens suffered injuries in a crash after refusing to stop for police. The car had a total of nine people in it.
Local media reports say the incident occured around 5 a.m. Sunday in Lenexa, Kansas.
Officer Danny Chavez attempted to stop the vehicle without headlights but the driver kept going.
The officer allowed the car to proceed but found the crash site later where the vehicle hit a tree.
The driver and front occupant were both killed and seven others were taken to area hospitals.
The victims have been identified as Isaiah Stroble, 14, and Angelito X. Espinosa, 13, both of Kansas City, Kansas.
