Miller County Missouri deputy sheriff killed in head-on crash

MILLER COUNTY, Missouri- A Miller County Deputy Sheriff was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening on Route Y in the county. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Deputy Casey Shoemate, 26, of Eldon was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. His remains were taken to Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon. Sources say Shoemate had been employed by the agency for about a year. School of the Osage teacher admits to sex crimes against student, sheriff says

MILLER COUNTY, Missouri- The Miller County Sheriff’s Office announced that a School of the Osage teacher has been charged with sex crimes following an investigation with the cooperation of the school. The subject has been identified as Mark Alan Edwards. The agency says that on April 18th they were notified about allegations of misconduct between a teacher and a student. Two Florida deputies ambushed and slain as they sat in restaurant, authorities say

TRENTON, Florida- The Gilchrist County Deputy Sheriffs Department said  approximately 3:00 pm Thursday afternoon, two of their agency’s deputies were shot and killed in the Ace China restaurant in downtown Trenton, after a suspect walked up to business and shot both deputies through the window. LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Missouri- The lake community is in in shock grief after the tragic deaths of four brothers in an early morning Horseshoe Bend Fire.
