UPDATE: On September 19, 2018 at approximately 1130 hours Leslie Shields was taken into custody in the 100 block of Minkler Avenue in Lebanon, Laclede County, Missouri without incident.

LEBANON, Missouri- The Lebanon Police Department says on September 17, 2018 Leslie E. Shields was charged with one count of Class B Felony Burglary 1st Degree and one count of of Class D Felony Stealing with a bond of $150,000 cash or surety for the reported robbery at US Bank.
On September 17, 2018 at approximately 1:30 PM the Lebanon Police Department received notification that US Bank, located in Lebanon, Missouri had been robbed.
Upon arrival at the bank, officers were advised that the suspect walked into the bank and demanded the teller give him the $100s and $50s in her drawer and fled after obtaining an undisclosed felony amount of money from the bank. Shields was identified from the use of social media and investigators with the Lebanon Police Department were able to obtain warrants for his arrest, the agency said.
Shields has not been located at this time and law enforcement are still actively looking for him. If anyone has any information regarding Shields’ whereabouts, contact the Lebanon Police Department or your local law enforcement agency.
According to court records, Shields was arrested, charged and sentenced in 2001 for a drug violation. Judge Hayden imposed 5 years incarceration to run concurrently with previous federal case in Tennessee.
His address then was 510 Lyn Street in Lebanon.
A 2002 AP story about Shields revealed the following: “Two brothers arrested at the scene of a police standoff this week each have been accused of robbing a St. Louis bank, federal prosecutors said Thursday.
The government alleges that Joseph Shields, 25, drove the getaway vehicle while 29-year-old Leslie Shields robbed a FirstBank site on June 10. Nine days later, authorities said, Leslie Shields robbed a local Royal Bank location. The brothers are from Lebanon in south-central Missouri.
In both holdups, investigators said, Leslie Shields showed tellers a handgun in his waistband.
Both brothers have implicated each other in the FirstBank robbery, authorities said.”
