LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- A teen from Lebanon, who the Missouri State Highway Patrol says was allegedly distracted caused a four vehicle crash on Hwy 32, just east of Lebanon on Thursday evening. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, but two of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers say Haley Blankenship, 16, was distracted and failed to observe other vehicles stopped in traffic. The report says she struck Bruce Perryman’s Kia Sedona, causing it to hit a car driven by Daniel Kopsas, age 59. The Kopsas’ vehicle then impacted a truck driven by Michael Raigans, 61. All are from Lebanon. The incident happened in the westbound lane.

Blankenship was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the report said.

There is no information on if she was cited.

Trooper Sgt. Marlin responded to the scene at 5:05 pm.
