LEBANON, Missouri- The arraignment for 26-year-old Kyle Nickel is set for 9 a.m. July 16th in Laclede County. Nickel is charged with Abuse Or Neglect Of A Child – Resulting In Death Under Sec. 568.060.5(2).
According to the probable cause statement, his daughter, 2 month-old Gracelyn Jade Nickel was being fussy before she died on March 27th.
Nickel told authorities that he was getting frustrated because of Gracelyn’s crying. He allegedly threw her on the couch.
Sheriff’s deputies, the Lebanon Rural Fire Department and Mercy EMS were all called to the 28000 block of Pelican Drive in Laclede County where they discovered her unresponsive.
According to the probable cause statement, the autopsy showed that the infant had fractures to her skull and five blood clots in her brain.
Nickel is currently being held in the Laclede County Jail without bond.
