LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- A 68 year-old Richland woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 7 Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Beverly Elson was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon following the wreck. She was a passenger in a car driven by Harold Elson.

According to the patrol report, Kaelyn Fry, 18, of Richland had stopped abruptly to avoid  a deer and was struck from behind by the Elson vehicle. Fry was not hurt.

Trooper Malay responded at 12:38 pm.
