PERRY HALL, Maryland- A Baltimore County police officer who was shot Monday afternoon in the Perry Hall area has died. Gov. Larry Hogan confirmed the line-of-duty death.

Baltimore County Police say at At 2:00 pm the agency received a call for a suspicious vehicle in the unit-block of Linwen Way. The wounded officer was taken to a local hospital where she died.
The Baltimore County Public Safety Agency said residents in the area of Belair Road and Klausmeier Road should shelter in place due to the ongoing incident as police search for the armed suspect.
