GARNER, Iowa- After facing a 2015 recall that nearly forced them out of business, Blue Bell Creameries has once again issued a voluntary recall of some of its products over listeria fears. Three of five patients who contacted the disease because of contaminated ice cream made in their Broken Arrow, Oklahoma plant died then. Eight million gallons of ice cream were subsequently recalled as the company initiated widespread efforts to clean their facilities.
This time, the company has issued a voluntary recall of pint sizes of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookie Two Step flavors. The company said it has received no reports of illnesses and has initiated the response out of an abundance of caution. The affected product can be found here.
