PHOENIX, Arizona – Police in Phoenix say a man involved in a domestic dispute who tried to run over a woman and child was shot by a bystander Sunday night according to a report by ABC15.com.
Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to an address near 43rd Avenue and McDowell after a man tried to hit a woman and her child, police said. Another person fired at least one shot as the man drove off. The woman was not seriously hurt and the child was unharmed, according to a police spokesman.
About fifteen minutes later, the suspect called 911 from near 43rd Avenue and Buckeye to report he had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, but officers on the scene said he was hit in the shoulder and expected to survive.
