Carl Robert Massey, son of Donald V. and Margaret Sue Ogle Massey, was born July 17, 1979, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, June 5, 2018, of injuries received in an automobile accident near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of thirty-eight years, ten months, and eighteen days.
He was preceded in death by his father; his step-father, William DeVore; his granddaughter, Aniyah Outlaw; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Carl is survived by a daughter, Courage Outlaw, and her husband, Christian, of Camdenton, Missouri; a son, Slater Massey, of Camdenton, Missouri; his mother, Margaret Sue DeVore, of Eldridge, Missouri; a brother, William Allee, of the State of Kansas; a half-brother, Michael Massey, of the State of Mississippi; a half-sister, Carla Massey, of the State of New York; his fiancée, Lindsay Fers, of Lebanon, Missouri; the mother of his children, Sandy Biddinger, and her husband, Derek, of Camdenton, Missouri; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. After he and Sandy were married, they made their home in Camdenton and lovingly raised their children. Early in his life, he worked as a welder at various boat manufacturing companies. He had recently made his home in the Lebanon area.
Carl was a member of Community Baptist Church near Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars and was always tinkering or fixing something. His family was very important to him and he especially loved his children and granddaughter.
Carl was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, fiancé, and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home or at the church on the day of the service.
