CHARLES EDWARD MILLER, son of Edward A. and Lena Marie Waterman Miller, was born June 28, 1941, in Lebanon, Missouri, and entered his Heavenly home on February 1, 2018, at the age of seventy-six years.

Charles made a profession of faith in Christ, at a young age and at the time of his passing was a Deacon at Second Baptist Church of Lebanon, where he attended since he was a child. The fellowship, prayers and support from his church family was precious to him.

Charles spent his life in the Lebanon community and graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1960. Charles made friends easily and stayed in contact with many of them through the years.

On August 31, 1963, he was united in marriage with Cleo Bradshaw. To this union was born two daughters, both surviving. Cleo preceded him in death in June of 1999, after many years of love and wonderful memories together.

Charles was a hard worker and took great pride in providing for his girls. He was employed with Fort Leonard Wood where he was DIO of Transportation. He medically retired from Fort Leonard Wood in 1977. Later, he worked as a feed salesman for MFA and Marshfield Mill. He retired in 2003. After retirement he worked for the City of Lebanon maintaining their landscaping for ten years.

In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. As a Master Gardener, he spent much of his time in his garden growing different varieties of produce for his famous salsa. He was also known for his delicious smoked meats.

In September of 2015, after receiving his heart pump, he was able to go on a couple of “bucket list” vacations to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone Park with his family.

Charles is survived by two daughters, Lisa Miller of St. Louis, MO, and Nancy Smith and her husband Jeff of Lebanon, MO; one brother, Donnie Miller; two sisters, Carolyn Gordy and Teresa Pulley and her husband John; special sister-in-law, Karen Miller; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Wanda Berry, all of Lebanon, MO; two grandsons, Walker and Bayler Smith; other relatives; church family and many friends.

Charles was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth Miller; and one brother-in-law, Donald Gordy.

Charles was the kind of person you could meet once and remember forever. He loved his family completely and unconditionally. He will forever be missed.
