The victim then fell through a window in the church, falling into the sanctuary

KANSAS CITY, Missouri- KSHB is reporting a person greeting parishioners at a Kansas City-area church was shot in the head Sunday morning.

 

Police say around 11:30 a.m., a suspect came in a back door at the House of Refuge Church at 11800 Hillcrest Road and fired multiple shots at the greeter, striking the victim at least once in the head.

The victim then fell through a window in the church, falling into the sanctuary, the report said.

The victim’s injuries were described as non life-threatening.

Police have not announced any arrests in the shooting.
