CUSHING, Oklahoma- A reported 5.0 (downgraded) magnitude earthquake has inflicted damage on Cushing Oklahoma, west of Tulsa. The city is home to about 8,000 residents according to a recent US census.
Cimarron Tower assisted Living Center downtown has been evacuated.
8 ABC Tulsa says the temblor was recorded almost 2 miles west of Cushing at 7:44 p.m.
The Cushing Police Department says they have started responding to calls regarding the earthquake but could not elaborate. They confirm Cimarron Towers, an assisted living center, has been evacuated.
According to the police department, the majority of the damage occurred downtown.
Cushing Fire Dept says they have not transported anyone to the hospital yet for injuries.
