David Michael Darling, son of Ervin and Peggy Cote Darling, was born July 1, 1978, at Edwards Air Force Base, in Edwards, California. He departed this life Monday, July 23, 2018, at his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty years, and twenty-two days.
On June 1, 2007, he was united in marriage to Amanda Faye Baker and they shared the last eleven years.
David is survived by his wife, Amanda, of the home; his six children Michael Fintel, and his fiancee, Alyssa Amburn, Michael Darling, Caitlynn Fintel, Brianna Darling, Dylan Fintel, all of Lebanon, Missouri and Patty Laval, of Springfield, Missouri; his parents, Ervin and Peggy Darling, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Jennifer Darling, of Springfield, Missouri; a niece, Kaitlyn, and a nephew, Tristan; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Eureka and Blue Lakes areas of California, and then moved with his family to Lebanon, Missouri, when he was in ninth grade. He began working in the construction field in various areas and was a very hard worker. David and Amanda had made their home in Lebanon for the last several years.
He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing, camping, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He also greatly enjoyed playing pool. He was always a big kid at family gatherings and liked traveling. He made sure to always put his wife and children first in his life.
David was a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and was a good neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
