DIXON, Missouri- The Dixon R-I School District has announced it will release classes at  11:30 on Wednesday, October 26th to allow students and staff to attend the memorial services for Mikayla Sherrell.

Sherrell was killed in a Friday evening crash that also injured a Crocker student. The crash occurred on Highway BB. Sherrell was a passenger in the vehicle.

“Due to the tragic and untimely death of one of our students, we will be releasing classes at 11:30 on Wednesday, October 26th to allow students & faculty to attend services, ” they said in a statement.

Services for Mikayla Sherrell will be held at the Dixon High School in the gymnasium. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 2 p.m.
