FALCON, Missouri – The Lebanon Rural Fire Protection District says their chief rescued a kitten during operations at a trailer fire Sunday night.

LRFPD Pumper Tanker 72 and Chief 700 assisted the Nebo-Falcon Fire Protection District and numerous other mutual aid companies on a working structure fire off of Anthony RD. Brush truck 73 was added to the alarm along with an additional engine company from Sleeper/Stoutland Fire and Lebanon Fire Department to provide assistance.

During the response, Chief 700 was able to rescue a kitten. Care of the animal was handed off to Mercy EMS on scene. EMS personnel provided the animal with oxygen and a bath. The kitten was returned to it’s family. Fire personnel stayed late on scene performing firefighting operations and overhaul, they said.
