CAMDENTON, Missouri- ABC 17 News reports the Special Prosecuting Attorney for Camden County has requested an arrest of Leonard Wilson, a former deputy with the Camden County Sheriff’s Department, after he accused of possessing child pornography.
According to the probable cause statement, an internal investigation was conducted at the Camden County Sheriff’s Department as a result of complaints from adult females, both civilian and within the department. It is believed he acted unlawfully both on and off-duty.
According to the complaint filed, Wilson knowing possessed child pornography that showed a person younger than 18 engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Women told deputies that Wilson had communicated with them via cellphone, sending nude photographs, sexually explicit messages and videos of himself masturbating.
The special prosecuting attorney of Camden County also believes Wilson committed child molestation by subjecting a minor to sexual contact by touching her through her clothing, the report explained.
The complaint says Wilson is accused of furnishing pornographic materials by delivering material that is pornographic to a minor.
The special prosecuting attorney believes Wilson committed to the act of stalking by following a minor with the intent to disturb her, and repeatedly contacting the minor via text message and other electronic means.
According to a motion to appoint a special prosecutor, a special prosecuting attorney is required because of the relationship between Michael Gilley the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney and Wilson.
