LEBANON, Missouri- A former art teacher at Lebanon Junior High has  pleaded guilty in U.S.  Court Thursday to downloading child pornography while working at the school. His admission comes after he was dismissed from employment.

Evert Wayne Henry, 41, was charged in a Feb. 23, 2016 indictment by a federal grand jury in Springfield, according to a news release from then U.S. Attorney Tammy Dickinson.

According to his indictment, Henry received the child pornography over 5 years ending in January 2016.

The images were caught due to an internet filter by the district and the subsequent investigation was part of Project Safe Childhood.

A sentencing date has not been set.
