LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas-  The man identified as the 41st homicide victim in Little Rock, Arkansas was a former pitcher for the Texas Rangers.

According to The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, John Barfield pitched three seasons for the Rangers in 1989.


He was killed in a shooting Christmas Eve by an acquaintance, identified as William Goodman.

Goodman is charged with 1st Degree Murder and is being held at the Pulaski County Jail.
