“Our hearts go out to the victims and the families in these circumstances,” Capt. Jeff Wilson with the SJPD said. 

ST. JOSEPH, Missouri- Local news media outlets are reporting four individuals  are dead and three others are injured after a crash Friday morning on Riverside near the Cook intersection in St. Joseph.

Capt. Jeff Wilson of the St. Joseph Police Department said the truck involved in the crash had been reported stolen.  The  driver of the stolen truck is in police custody and has been hospitalized for serious injuries.  Four other occupants have have been declared deceased.  A sixth person was transported by life-flight helicopter to KU Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries, SJ Post reported. 

Wilson added that the other vehicle was a blue Dodge truck occupied by a middle-aged male who also was taken to Mosaic with moderate injuries.

“Our hearts go out to the victims and the families in these circumstances,” Wilson said according to the report.
