LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- The Missouri State Highway Patrol says four people from the Lebanon area, including three teens were injured Wednesday morning in a collision on Highway 32, eight miles west of the city.

The crash happened when the teens, in a pickup,  crossed the center of the roadway travelling eastbound, they attempted to avoid an animal and struck a westbound economy vehicle.  Injured were Dustin Price, 17, who was driving, Kendall Dampier, 18, and Shantella Steverance, 16, all from Lebanon. Price and Steverance were transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Dampier had minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, Leona Flenniken, 34, from Long Lane, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon for treatment of moderate injuries.

All parties involved were wearing seat belts according to the patrol.
