LEBANON, Missouri- Former mayor Josh Ray says an old friend of his is taking the lead on a service project and fundraising for a Vietnam veteran and his family. The veteran in need is located ten miles outside of town and needs real, meaningful assistance, Ray says.

The GoFundMe effort’s author Amanda Greenwood says the veteran, Mr. Hartzell served our country, now he and his wife are in desperate need to be served by us. They have lived 10 miles outside the city of Lebanon, MO for around 30 years. “Their well has caved in, and a new one needs to be dug. There are no places within their town willing to give to help their cause because if they can’t give the whole amount they won’t even give a small amount of it. Please give, even small amounts are drops in a bucket to get this man and his wife fresh, running water. Anything above the amount needed will go to get them a reliable vehicle to finish out their days in comfort and independence.”

“All money raised will be set aside in a savings account especially set up for this cause,” Greenwood said.
