LEBANON, Missouri- Lebanon Midway Speedway says in memory of Cassie Reed, this Friday night there will be a pace truck for the B-Mod class and the helmet will be passed for the family to help with burial expenses. Cassie lost her life in a car accident last week. Cassie was a pit crew member of the #8 B-Mod Tyler Knudtson team.
Cassandra Leanne Reed, daughter of Mark and Yvone Bauermeister Reed, was born October 19, 1995, in Orange Park, Florida. She departed this life Wednesday, July 18, 2018, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of twenty-two years, ten months, and twenty-six days.
She was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandfather, Mike Logue; and her maternal great-grandfather, Robert Bauermeister.
“Cassie”, as she was called by her family and friends, is survived by her parents, Yvone and Eric Tietze, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Cortne Reed, Chelsea Reed, and Madysen Tietze, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Joseph Tietze, of Lebanon, Missouri; her maternal grandmother, Sandra Logue, of Springfield, Missouri; her paternal grandparents, Mike and Denise Babcock, of Branson, Missouri; her great-grandmothers, Yvonne Goodwin, Jesselyn Fleming, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Helen Bauermeister, of Independence, Missouri; a nephew, Jaxton Reed, of Lebanon, Missouri; her significant other, Matt Decker, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Florida and was raised in Mississippi, until moving with her family to Lebanon, Missouri when she was nine years old. While in high school, she played in the Lebanon marching band and on the softball team. She graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 2014. She had been employed by Phoenix Home Health Care for the last several months.
She enjoyed fishing in her spare time and also liked having time with her nephew. She had a sassy personality and loved to laugh and have fun. Her family was very dear to her and they loved her deeply.
Cassie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and was a good friend to many. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories they have of her and will hold them lovingly in their heart.A memorial has been established and contributions may be given to the family or made through the funeral home.
