LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- Iced covered roadways apparently caused a semi to overturn onto an SUV on I-44 early Saturday morning according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The wreck happened at the 143 mile marker near the Hazelgreen Access on the Gasconade River.

Michael Grigat, 44, from Joliet, Illinois was taken to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon for treatment of serious injuries. The truck driver, Abdullahi Muse, 31, from Hebron Kentucky was not hurt.
The crash occurred as both vehicles began to slide on Westbound lane of the slickened highway. Muse’s Freightliner struck a guardrail and came to rest on the Toyota Four Runner.
