LEBANON, Missouri- Incoming Laclede County Sheriff David Millsap says an inmate has escaped just before he took office.

“At 11:10 pm, fifty minutes prior to me taking office, Clarence Proctor, aka DJ, escaped from custody. Proctor was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment for an injury he received prior to being booked in the Laclede County Jail. At the hospital he was able to escape from a detention officer, ”  Millsap explained.

In July 2016, an inmate fled custody while on work detail at the Laclede County Fair after feigning illness. He was later recaptured at an Eldon residence.

Proctor is described as white male 5-11 190 pounds, blue eyes and brown hair. Proctor was being held for probation violations related to several traffic related charges and resisting arrest. If anyone has information on his whereabouts please call the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office at 417-532-2311.
