LEBANON, Missouri- On Tuesday. the Lebanon Police Department says they were notified a substitute teacher had made inappropriate comments to several students while teaching at Maplecrest Elementary School.

myozarksonline.com reports the teacher was removed from campus after the instructor had made sexual comments. The school serves 2-3rd graders

The Division of Family Services and Lebanon Police are investigating the alleged incident that seems to stem from the complaints from two girls.

Parents of the children in the classroom where this is said to have taken place were notified by the school:

Dear Parents,

There was an incident yesterday involving a substitute in your child’s classroom. The substitute said some inappropriate remarks. The students, being uncomfortable, went and told another teacher about it. That teacher notified the office immediately and the substitute was immediately called to the office and sent home.

Substitute teachers are employees of Penmac and they were notified immediately of the incident. The substitute will no longer work in Lebanon R-3 Schools and has also been relieved of his job with Penmac to substitute for them in other districts. We take the safety of our students as our number one priority and are sorry that they had to listen to inappropriate remarks.

As always, please contact us if you have any questions.
