LEBANON, Missouri- Lebanon police say they received evidence of drug use after the the search of a Joel E. Barber school bus rider that was conducted on Wednesday, November 29th.
The items were collected by the school resource officer at J.E.B after the school superintended found a burnt marijuana joint and Clear Eyes eye drops on a 16 year-old student. The evidence was put in the custody of Lebanon police for processing.
The student apparently admitted using marijuana to the School Resource Officer and the superintendent while a case manager was present. The teen said he had just started using the drug.
The School Resource Officer told the student he was in violation of drug police for having the items and was informed he could no longer ride the bus. Authorities were unable to contact the student’s father, the report said.
The case is being transferred to the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office, police say.
