COLE COUNTY, Missouri- The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Jefferson City teenager died in a Monday afternoon crash in Cole County and another teen had to be life-flighted.

The crash happened at the juncture of Route Y and Route M, southwest of rural Taos.

According to troopers, 17-year-old Travis Adam was pronounced dead by Cole County Coroner Carl Doerhoff at the scene after
he crossed the center line and struck a second vehicle.
15-year-old Alexa Noblett, his passenger, was airlifted to University Hospital in serious condition.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts the patrol reported.

The driver of the second vehicle, Braydon Holtmeyer, 19, of Tuscumbia was unhurt.

Both vehicles- an SUV, and a pickup truck were totaled in the collision and towed.

Troopers Lance and Meyers responded at 4:35, they was assisted by the Troop C crash team and the Cole County Sheriff’s Office.

This was Troop F’s 6th fatality investigation for the month and 63rd for 2016.
