The deceased victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash
LEBANON, Missouri- A Lebanon man was killed and a child seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday night on Hwy 64, west of the city.
Charles Weaver, 27, the driver, was pronounced deceased at the scene and was transported to Shadel’s Colonial Funeral home. Coroner Steve Murrell made the call just after 9 p.m. and next of kin were notified. He was not wearing a seat belt according to the patrol report.
10 year-old Davyn Gott was taken to Lake Regional and then transported to Mercy Springfield.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened when the vehicle went off the road and struck a tree and overturned ejecting Weaver.
The 1995 Honda Civic was totaled and towed.
Trooper Ice responded at 8:26 p.m.
