The “Guardian Burger” representing troopers took top honors.
LEBANON, Missouri- The Lebanon Police Department says the 2017 Emergency Services Burger Contest winner was the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The 2nd annual event raised over $3,600 for the Shop with a Cop program, they said.
“All month long the community came together and purchased burgers for the cause, along with simply making a donation to the tip jar,” the LPD said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s offering was the “Guardian Burger.” Mercy Emergency Medical Services, the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office, the Lebanon Fire Department and the Lebanon Police Department all had entries.
Sheriff David Millsap and Laclede County Sheriff’s Office also received gratitude from the LPD for raising pledges.
“We could not have done this without the generous contribution and support that Elm Street Eatery has given us and continues to give us. Thank you to every agency involved and we can’t wait for next years event!!!” they said.
