LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- Lebanon R3 School bus monitor Dustin Selvy, 34, was killed Monday in a traffic accident on North 5 in his own vehicle. There were three vehicles involved in the crash according to troopers. He lived in Edridge but was originally from  Braymer, Missouri and had family in Iowa according to his Facebook account.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 33 year-old  Heather Lenard of Lebanon was stopped on Hwy 5 attempting to make a left hand turn onto Julie Road. The patrol says Selvy was stopped behind her and was struck by a 16 year-old who failed to stop. All motorists were northbound.

Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell pronounced Selvey deceased at the scene. Selvey was taken to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel in Lebanon.

Lenard suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

The 16 year-old also suffered minor injuries was was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

All involved were wearing seat belts according to troopers.

There are no reports at press time of possible pending charges.

Trooper Southwood responded to the scene at 4:22 p.m.
