UPDATE: Lebanon drama teacher Elizabeth Ashley Morgan, 31, has been given a suspended sentence (1 year Laclede County Jail, SES 2 years probation supervised by CPS) for an inappropriate relationship with a student. She was charged with 2nd degree harassment stemming from an incident last year. Morgan plead guilty on the charge.

LEBANON, Missouri- Elizabeth Morgann (King), 30, will face felony arraignment on Monday, June 18th according to court records. The arraignment will take place at the Laclede County courthouse.

Lebanon police say that on January 5, they became aware of an investigation pertaining to sexual contact with a teacher and a male high school student. After reviewing electronic evidence and speaking with the student, police pursued charges against Morgan.

She had been charged with Sexual Contact with a Student { Felony E RSMo: 566.086 }

Under the last name King, she spent four years teaching drama at the Jr. High School. She has also taught speech, theater and ACT/SAT preparation at the high school.

In January, the News Leader asked the district about her employment status and received the following reply: “Please understand that when the district received the allegations regarding the employee’s misconduct, it took immediate action to (ensure) that the environment in our schools was safe for all of our students and staff.”

A surety bond was posted on May 16th according to court records.
