STOUTLAND, Missouri- Two teens from Lebanon were hurt in a single-vehicle crash south of Stoutland, Saturday afternoon according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say 16 year-old Benjamin Appleberry and Sierra Thomas, also 16, were transported to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon for treatment of minor injuries.

The report says neither the driver- Appleberry or passenger, Thomas were fastened in seat belts.

The crash happened when the vehicle encountered an unspecified mechanical defect causing it to leave the road and strike an embankment.

Trooper Mizer responded to Hwy T and was assisted by Trooper Sloan at 3:35 p.m.
