Orr was not involved in that argument – the Kansas City Police Department confirms he was an innocent bystander.

Lee’s Summit Police said Officer Orr had been with the department since March 2015. Prior to joining the force in Lee’s Summit, Orr was an Officer in Marshall, Missouri.

A woman was also shot that night. She was taken to the hospital with a serious gunshot wound to the arm.

The suspect in this case fled the scene immediately after the shooting. He remains at large.

Lee’s Summit Police say they are working with investigators with the Kansas City Police Department to generate leads and bring Officer Orr’s killer to justice.
