March 29, 2018 at Camden on the Lake, the Lakeside room, first floor.

Morning session 10:00 to 11:30 is for those interested in learning about our Trained Volunteer Evaluator
program. Participants will learn to evaluate, document, and advise homeowners on creating watershed
favorable landscapes. Join our team of friendly, knowledgeable TVEs and contribute to maintaining a healthy
watershed around the Lake area.

Afternoon session 1:00 to 3:30 is for those homeowners interested in Low Impact Landscaping (LIL). See if
your landscape project is eligible for grant funds which are used to supplement the cost of watershed friendly
landscaping. Featuring Isaac Breuer from the award winning A.L. Gustin Golf Course in Columbia. Over the
past 20 years, staff at this university golf course have worked to enhance natural communities on the course
and restore habitat for wildlife and pollinators. This work has made the A. L. Gustin course the first university
golf course in the country to achieve full certification in water conservation, environmental planning,
outreach and education, water quality management, integrated pest management, and wildlife and habitat
management. Also with us, local homeowners Sheila and Eric Morse will help property owners understand
conservation and natural habitat measures which can be employed on private property. Learn how LOWA’s
cost share program can help you create low impact landscapes.

LOWA is a citizen based 501c3 lake area non-profit with a mission to Preserve, Protect, & Improve the Lake of
