LEBANON, Missouri- Lebanon police say a 30 year-old man complained on Wednesday that he was assaulted by a 25 year-old Springfield woman at Champion Express on  South Jefferson.

The man says he was at the gas station to pick up his girlfriend from work and saw the woman who he says had been harassing his girlfriend.  He told police he went over to confront her as she was sitting in a car at the gas pumps. That’s when he says the angry woman got out of the car and shoved him in the chest. A store surveillance video seems to support that claim police said in the report.

Police say the incident is being investigated as a 4th degree assault and a citation  will be completed and mailed to the last known address of suspect.
