TEXAS COUNTY, Missouri- Authorities are continuing a manhunt for Daniel G. Campbell, 39, who is accused of killing one man and critically injuring another. Local sources say he has been in trouble with the law before.

The Houston Herald reports authorities were called near Licking to a crime scene at Boilings Springs Road and Jack Tar Road where they found one man dead and another injured.  A medical helicopter was dispatched  and the critically injured party was transported after a landing zone was established by the Roby Fire Department.

Texas County Coroner Tom Whittaker pronounced one person dead at the scene, the report said. He said Billy Dale Bishop II, 38, of Licking, died at the scene on Boiling Springs Road. A second person, William T. Dumboski, 55, was airlifted to a Springfield hospital in critical condition.

The suspect, Campbell is thought to be driving a black 1997 Ford Ranger with a green grille and front bumper. The  Missouri license license plate number is 6UX 841. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The Houston Herald says Campbell  has had serious run-ins with law enforcement before and has been convicted. In 2015, he was charged with first-degree tampering of a vehicle and received a five-year term that was suspended after 120 days by a judge, and Campbell was placed on probation.

In February 2014, he was charged with third-degree assault. After receiving a six-month jail term, Campbell admitting he had violated his probation by not reporting to his probation officer on Dec. 16.
