LEBANON, Missouri- Lebanon Mayor Jared Carr signed the following proclamation honor veteran Lebanon Fire Department Lt. Norman Cross, who passed way unexpectedly on January 9th, 2019:

 

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Lt. Norman Cross served the City of Lebanon faithfully since 1977; and

WHEREAS, Lt. Cross demonstrated service and dedication to his firemen brothers and sisters and community throughout his life and career; and

WHEREAS, his virtues served as an example to his co-workers and community; and

WHEREAS, his institutional knowledge of more than 40 years was of utmost value to the City of Lebanon and the Lebanon Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, because of Lt. Cross’s knowledge and dedication, countless lives have been saved; and

WHEREAS, Lt. Cross’s example and dedicated mentorship have created a legacy within the City of Lebanon, Lebanon Fire Department and throughout Laclede County.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Jared Carr, City of Lebanon, Missouri, on behalf of the Lebanon City Council, do honor Lt. Norman Cross on this day his community has gathered to lay him to rest. Lt. Cross’s passing will leave a void within this City that will never completely be filled. With a heavy and thankful heart, I proclaim this day a Day of Remembrance honoring his life and service and I encourage all citizens to honor his service, legacy and memory through appropriate means.
