LEBANON, Missouri- On Monday, Lebanon police officers were called to the 400 block of Millcreek Road near the railroad tracks, for a report of property damage and a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident.
An officer reports he saw trail of liquid antifreeze coming from the electric utility pole that was hit and followed it from Millcreek Road to Frisco Lane where he found a pickup truck parked in the middle of the roadway with a man standing outside of the vehicle.
The 58 year-old from Lebanon admitted to police he had struck the pole and consented to a search of the truck. Police say they discovered a small clear plastic zip lock baggie with a white crystal substance during the investigation.
The reports says the the suspect was issued two citations; Leaving the Scene Motor Vehicle Accident and Failure to Maintain Proof of Financial Responsibility. Police field tested the baggie and it came up positive for meth and it will be sent to the MSHP crime lab for further testing.
Charge(s) are pending on the Missouri Stated Highway Patrol Crime Lab results on the suspect.
