WHITE TOWNSHIP, Minnesota- The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says a a teen deer hunter was  found dead by a family member  Saturday in a deer stand near Stepetz Road in White Township.

Authorities believe Corwin M. Johnson, 16, suffered a fatal, self-inflicted wound.

Johnson was dropped off at his deer stand early in the morning by his uncle and hadn’t been seen until he was found later dead.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and asks that anyone who may have spoken with Johnson by telephone or texted him during the day Saturday to please call (218) 749-7134.
