ST. LOUIS, Missouri- A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper was injured Saturday when a pickup slammed into the back of his patrol car on I-44 south of Six Flags.

Trooper Tycee Williams,40,  was transported to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis following the incident for treatment of minor injuries. He is from Wheldon Springs.

The trooper’s patrol car, a Dodge Charger,  was stopped with its emergency activated behind a stalled motorist in the highway’s westbound lane when a pickup truck ran into the rear of the cruiser. The the driver of the pickup truck was Scott A. Carnell, 35, of Pacific and he was not injured according to the report. No information was available on if he was cited by the patrol.

Both vehicles were demolished in the crash.
