LACLEDE COUNTY, Missouri- A motorcyclist from Strafford was airlifted for medical treatment after a crash on Hwy 5  south of Lebanon Saturday afternoon.

Troopers say Charles Mingus, 59, suffered serious injuries in the crash requiring him to be evacuated by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Mingus was wearing a helmet.

David Gass, 49, from Lebanon sought treatment for minor injuries.

The report says Mingus failed to negotiate a curve on his Harley Davidson, crossed the centerline striking a towed vehicle and then hit the pickup driven by Gass. Mingus was then thrown from the motorcycle as it overturned.

Trooper Sgt. Riggs responded at 2:35 p.m. and was assisted in the investigation by Sgt. Arnold and Trooper Mizer.
