WELDON SPRING, Missouri- Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, in Weldon Spring, announced “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T.” He explains A.R.R.E.S.T. stands for “Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team. Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will take place from 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, though 3 a.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017, in St. Charles County. The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an impaired condition.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will utilize six Missouri state troopers to conduct this project, the agency says. Johnson explains the six troopers have been chosen because of their dedication and leadership in removing impaired drivers from Missouri roadways.

“Troopers continually work to maximize enforcement efforts in deterring impaired driving, to remove impaired drivers from Missouri roadways, and to reduce fatalities and injuries through vigorous enforcement of Missouri traffic laws.”
