ST. JAMES, Missouri- A 21-year-old Scott City man was killed and seven others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash on I-44 just outside St. James Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a semi-truck lost control, crossed the median and began to overturn. The commercial driver, Gurgit Singh of Fresno, California then collided with two other cars. The towed unit of the semi-truck then hit Uhrhan’s car, causing it to overturn. Uhrhan was pronounced deceased at the scene. Paash was thrown from his bike and airlifted to University Hospital with serious injuries.
Singh and two other people were also taken to the hospital.
Uhrhan’s Facebook page said he worked as a forklift driver for Mid-South Wire and had studied at Three Rivers College. He was engaged to be married.
