WASHINGTON, District of Columbia- FBI Director James Comey has announced to members of Congress just days before the tempestuous upcoming presidential election that after reviewing a trove of emails,  the bureau has no reason to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton.

“Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July,” Comey declared in the letter to top Republicans on the House Oversight Committee.

The investigation focused on whether Clinton had shared classified information.

This announcement comes nine days following an unsettling announcement that the FBI was again looking into Clinton after a batch of communications found on a device belonging to former Rep. Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of Clinton’s  aide Huma Abedin.

The letter to congress said that agents “have been working around the clock to process and review” the emails.

“We were always confident nothing would cause the July decision to be revisited,” the Clinton campaign said in a tweet. “Now, Director Comey has confirmed it.”
