LEBANON, Missouri- On Thursday, Lebanon police say Casey’s General Store district manager reported  several apparent bad check writing incidents that happened the first of the New Year. The spree buying of lottery tickets came to $1,920.

The manager told police that on January 1st, a woman went to the Casey’s location on Lynn  and wrote a check for $235 for lottery tickets. He said the woman then went to went to the Casey’s on 64 Highway and wrote another check for $235 to buy more lottery tickets. Allegedly, the woman later traveled  to stores  in Desloge, Farmington and Desoto, Missouri and wrote even more checks to buy additional lottery tickets. The total amounts at the other stores were $1450. All the checks came from an account that was closed.

 

The investigation will continue, police say.
