LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Missouri- The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two vessels collided as they turned in an attempt to avoid crashing into each other Sunday night at the 19 mm on the Lake of the Ozarks. Three occupants on a 29 foot Four Winns were injured.
Mary Hull, 24, from Nashville TN was airlifted to University Hospital by Staff for Life with serious injuries.
John Keathly, 32, from Nashville TN was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
Ronald Sulewski, the boat’s captain, 69 was was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. He is from St. Louis.
The driver of the other craft, a Formula Sea Ray, Charles Penner, 55, was not hurt. He is listed from Bridgeton, Missouri.
Nobody was wearing a lifejacket.
The patrol report says the Sea Ray was traveling downstream when it struck the upstream Four Winns on the starboard side. The Four Winns was towed from the scene with extensive damage.
The MSHP responded at 9:20 p.m. and were assisted by other emergency personnel.
