LEBANON, Missouri- A 37 year-old Rolla man was among two hurt in a crash on I-44 Thursday night. A 31 year-old man from Stoutland suffered minor injuries in the 3 vehicle wreck according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident closed down eastbound lanes of I-44 for a period of time.

Patrick Brown was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield in serious condition. It was unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Mark Thomas was transported to the hospital in Lebanon with minor injuries.

Troopers say Brown was going westbound in the eastbound passing lane when he struck a pickup driven by Thomas. The Kia Soul then swerved into the path of a tractor trailer operated by an Oklahoma man.

Trooper Southwood investigated the scene at 8:40 pm.
