Jefferson City, Mo. — Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft encouraged Missouri voters in jurisdictions with elections Tuesday to get out and vote.

Voters in three counties – Stoddard, Scott and Jackson – and the City of Kansas City will go to the polls Tuesday to participate in special elections to fill two Missouri House seats and one Senatorial seat.

In the weeks and months preceding this election day, Ashcroft and his office have worked diligently with local election officials to spread the word that “if you’re registered to vote, you can vote.” The office has made information available since early March on its website, www.ShowIt2Vote.com, and has advertised statewide through newspaper, radio and television.

In addition to the local election authorities listed above, the following jurisdictions have notified this office of an election occurring on Nov. 7:
